Project Life 2018: Week 26

As the days start to get shorter and Summer slowly fades away, I’m happy to hold on a little longer by documenting the memories created during the season. I loved making this bright spread with both kits from Kelly Purkey and Feed Your Craft.

Here’s a look at the entire week:

I had quite a few photos from a visit to the Fair mid-week so I included those, along with the everyday ones. I used cards in pink, blue, and orange from both the Kelly Purkey’s Details of the Day kit, and Feed Your Craft’s Soak Up The Sun kit.

I used the Details of the Day stamp on three journal cards to hold some stories from our week. It’s a super versatile stamp set! I found some summer-themed washi from Freckled Fawn in my stash and added those to some cards for additional color.

I really loved the “Summer Vibes” card from the Soak Up The Sun FYC kit, but it didn’t quite work as a date/title card. So I instead took the digitals included with the kit to combine the “summer” text with a sun graphic (also included in the digital files), recolored them to match the colors in the spread, and created the custom date card. The rainbow strip was cut from one of the 3×4 cards in the KP kit.

I added small captions/journaling to some colored labels on several of the photos. These are from Elle’s Studio. I picked up quite a few of these from her recent summer sale!

I’ve got a few more weeks of summer to finish up before I become current and I’m looking forward to reliving some of these summer moments before Fall hits!
