Project Life 2018: A long weekend in Seattle

In early May of this year, we took a short trip to Seattle to see some friends and play tourist. Although this trip will probably be documented more fully in a mini-album of some kind, I wanted to add a couple of inserts to my Project Life album as a summary.

I created one 9×12″ spread for each day of the trip, so I ended up with 4 extra pages (2 total inserts) to add to my album.

I used a mix of stamps from Everyday Explorers Co. on the pages. Christine Herrin makes some of my favorite travel themed stamps!

Here is a look at all of the pages.

The first day was mostly about our travel to Seattle and settling in to stay with our friends. I used the small icons from the Adventure Planning stamp to make a fun filler card. I also created a small pocket with a tag to hold the names of some people we sent postcards to (on the back of the tag, for privacy).

The second day we spent exploring downtown Seattle. We walked a ton which is one of my favorite things to do while traveling! I didn’t have a lot of white space on some of my photos for stamping so I instead stamped the phrases on vellum and adhered them.

I blogged a little about the next spread already, which was spent visiting some places north of Seattle. Everything was so beautiful and we definitely didn’t have enough time!

Our friends took us around on our last day, which included a ferry ride to Port Gamble. Having local friends show us around was really great!

I stamped a few of the Quoted phrases directly onto the photos, pairing them with some simple typed phrases. I also used the Right Now stamp to make a filler card and as a header for my journaling. The small stickers are from Studio Calico.

I’d been to Seattle a couple of times before, but many years ago, and not with French folks and children! 🙂 We had a great time in the short amount of time we were there and I can’t wait to go back.
