2019 Creative Goals

It’s a new year and I thought I’d share a recap of my projects from last year and my plans for memory keeping this year.

Project Life

Still love this project. I really like both working with pocket pages and looking back on previous albums. But I’m constantly behind with gaps in all 3 years that I’ve done it. I have yet to complete a full year! At the rate this is going, I’m just going to get further and further behind… I was really tempted to move to the 9×12 format this year but in the end, I decided to stick with 12×12 but change the frequency to BI-WEEKLY. I’m hoping this will help me stick with it AND leave me some time to go back and complete previous years.

Travel Albums / Mini-Albums

These are still on my list. I did finally complete a traveler’s notebook from a trip to France in 2016, but I have yet to start on the one from 2017. I ended up making a photo book from this trip for family and don’t know if I will do another TN for myself. On the list for this year is making an album from a week long trip last year to Zion/Bryce Canyon National Parks.

This was an unplanned project I discovered last year from Paper Issues. I did this in a traveler’s notebook format and really loved working with notebooks! I finished one TN for the first half of the year and have about half of a second notebook done. While I did love this project, I don’t think I will do it again this year because there is too much overlap with Project Life.

Traveler’s Notebooks

I loved using these last year for 52 Favorites and as a travel mini-album, but don’t have a specific project to use them for this year. I think I will just be documenting “randomly” in them during the year, which is a little weird for me. The OCD in me doesn’t like randomness!

December Daily

I’m not committing to anything for December just yet. I have three unfinished DD albums, including this year’s, which I am trying to work on “in my spare time.” 🙂

One Little Word

I tried this last year and stalled out around the middle of the year. I think the concept is great and I love personal development, but I will work on these goals in a different way.

What about you? What memory keeping projects are you doing this year?
