There’s a new release at Kelly Purkey Shop today and I wanted to share the two projects I made with this month’s release. The stamps and kits are all about summer fun and I was happy to work with them since we’ve been experiencing “June Gloom” here in southern California.
For my first project, I used the main TN kit called Summer Bucket List to document a week last year checking off the items on my bucket list. We spend a lot of time at the beach and at the pool – both as a family and solo for me, since I am avid swimmer. Many of the photos from the week were taken at both locations and I think I made at least 6 trips to the pool and beach that week. 🙂
When I first saw the TN papers, I was drawn to the large “Here Comes Summer” page. I cut down that page to use in a 4″ x 6″ pocket (layered over some white cardstock) and adhered a small photo of my daughter in the pool.
Since I was documenting my summer bucket list, I had to use the stamps from the kit to make a journaling card, with the completion dates. I used white embossing powder to make “summer bucket list” stand out on the dark blue paper.
I loved the circle patterns on the papers and stamped some of the sentiments over the circles and cut them out using a circle punch to use as embellishments on other photos.
Lastly, I cut out phrases from the fill-in-the-blank TN page to further embellish my photos. A few puffy asterisks from my stash completed the spread!
For my second project, I documented a recent week this year where I thought summer was starting to show up. Spoiler: Summer was just teasing me because it was sunny that week and then it was back to clouds the following week!
For this spread, I mixed cards from the main project kit, Fun Times, with the LLP kit, Summer Adventuring. We visited the beach twice that week and had fun collecting shells so the gorgeous Seashells stamp set by Life Love Paper was perfect to use. I loved playing with the different shells on my title page!
We also acquired a bike for my daughter which was exciting so the 3″ x 4″ card and matching sentiments from the Summer Adventuring kit was perfect for documenting that.
I used one of the journaling cards from the Fun Times kit to type some notes about things that happened during the week. The Sun’s Out stamp from Life Love Paper was great for adding an embellishment to the otherwise plain card. I popped it up with some foam tape.
A few more stamps and labels and my week was done! Thanks for checking out my projects and let me know if you have any questions!

NL Pitchero reviews that “The Board of Administrators at Vanarama Nationwide League North membership FC United of Manchester thought fans want to share our frustration and bemusement at the request it obtained on Friday from the BBC, through the FA, to move the kick off time of their Emirates FA Cup game towards Sporting Khalsa to allow a ‘model new BBC Cellular Match of The Day Stay expertise’. This newest thought included disruption to the pre-match preparations of membership volunteers and the competing teams, interruptions to substitutes warming up and interference with the team managers’ match management. The FC United Board gave a resounding ‘NO’ to this request. Match-going supporters should not should be inconvenienced for the good thing about those who rarely, if at all, attend matches. FC United isn’t intrinsically opposed to the re-association of a fixture time, supplied that it meets with the approval of and benefits the respective clubs and their supporters. In 2007, members of FC United voted in favour of getting into the FA Cup and acknowledged the competitions guidelines and Television contracts. That apart, the whole ‘Cell Match of The Day Reside experience’ should have been canned at inception by any BBC Sports supervisor with an understanding of the sport. As a public service broadcaster the BBC should be taking a lead by promoting the game without inflicting additional disruption to match going supporters as a substitute of making an attempt to ape or outdo some of the worst excesses of their opponents. If BBC viewers would like to know the fans’ expertise at a football sport there are numerous real-life games at each level all through the nation and the easiest way for Television viewers to entry the true fans’ expertise is to go alongside to a match. For a more in depth expertise they might volunteer like many non-League followers do week in and week out. The Board said further, ‘The FA, as the governing physique of soccer on this nation, appear to be encouraging ways to money in on the fans’ experience while treating the supporters as the least essential commodity in the sport. We name upon the FA to keep in mind that football is a sporting competition and the related drama comes from the highs and lows of the game itself. It doesn’t mirror well on the custodians of our sport that they might devalue the sporting integrity of their flagship competitors by encouraging Television presenters to interfere with those within the dug-outs or altering rooms when they are working to produce the very best competitive parts of the game. Nor should Television have access to substitutes when warming up, as a result of these gamers are athletes preparing properly to be able to compete at their finest. Television publicity and the income it generates are essential to football. Nevertheless, we consider that the stability has swung means too far in favour of the Tv corporations and too far away from the match-going, admission paying, commonly attending soccer supporter. “FC United seeks to vary the way in which that football is owned and run, placing supporters at the guts of every little thing.
