October Projects with Kelly Purkey Shop

This month’s Kelly Purkey Shop release was a bit smaller due to the holiday release, but it was still so good! I’m in love with the rich colors and the versatile stamp set in the main kit.

For my first project, I used the main project kit, All The Feels, to document a recent week in September. It was a rough year for me personally, but in August things started turning around and in early September, I got a job offer from a company I was really excited about. This week documented one of my last weeks leading up to the job change, and I was definitely dealing with a lot of mixed emotions.

I don’t often include selfies in my regular album, but I do think it’s important to get myself in the album, so I included this silly photo of myself, taken after dropping off some important paperwork. I stamped the mood scale on some vellum and then stapled it onto the photo.

I was trying to take care of a lot of things before I started my new job, which included social time with friends and lots of self-care. I included photos from some of these things, using the kit stamp to embellish the photos with info about my mood.

Of course I had to include a funny photo of my warm and fuzzy cat when I saw that stamp sentiment. 🙂 I was pretty sure she was going to miss her warm human in a couple of weeks.

For my second project, I created a gratitude traveler’s notebook spread. I loved the cute patterned house pattern from the Gather mini-kit, and paired it with the equally gorgeous orange/gray journal paper.

Since the house pattern paper was already busy, I changed my photo to black and white, and kept the embellishments within the same color palette.
If you haven’t picked up the Fifth Avenue number stamp sets yet, I highly recommend them! The font is so pretty and they make quite a statement on a page. I will be using these for my December Daily album this year for sure. I stamped a large “13” from the stamp set, representing the number of people in my extended family who live here. I then trimmed a strip from the We Are F(r)amily TN kit to stamp one of the kit sentiments on, and used it as a small subtitle to the large “13.”

On the right side, I kept it pretty simple, just writing my journaling in the circles, adding a stamp from the mini-kit, and layering a couple of the cut apart squares.

Thanks for reading and I’d love to see any projects you make with this month’s release!
