Kids December Daily Advent Calendar

I have a young daughter who loves crafts and is continually fascinated by my scrapbooks and all the stuff used for making them. Recently, she’s been asking me to help with them and if she can do one of her own. So cute!

I remembered that the wonderfully creative Krystal Iduñate had made an advent calendar to help her daughter work on her own December Daily album last year and I knew I wanted to do the same for my little girl this December.

For the base of the album, I used one of the new 4″ x 6″ minibooks from Everyday Explorers Co. The Story Start journal is a great size with heavy paper that will withstand my daughter’s heaving coloring. 🙂 Since my daughter is only 5 and just barely reading, the project needs to be kept reasonable for her. I created some pre-made pages in the album using stamps from Everyday Explorers Co, Paper Person Shop, and Studio Calico. Each day has a loose “theme” with a small mini day tag (stamped from the Mini Calendar Days stamp) and matching embellishments.

Here’s a look at a few sample pages.

Day 3 – includes a prompt to draw or write out a holiday wish list (stamps are from Holiday Prompts and the Explorers Alpha) and embellishments from my stash

Day 03

Day 7 – a prompt to write out a holiday playlist with some fun embellishments for decorating it (stamps are from Holiday Prompts and Now Playing)

Day 07

Day 10 – a page to color and decorate some Christmas trees using sequins and stickers (stamps are from Christmas Tags and Holiday Prompts)

Day 10

Day 13 – a decorated page to draw or write about some everyday activities (stamps are from Christmas Tags, Christmas Post (digital), Good Stuff Inside)

Day 13

Day 16 – a day to write about things you’re grateful for! (stamps from this month’s Practice Gratitude mini kit and So Much Gratitude)

For the actual calendar bags, I made these out of plain kraft paper. They are roughly 4″ wide by 5″ tall and I only made them because I couldn’t find similar bags at my local craft store! The front has the number stamped with the solid Alberta stamp (Paper Person Shop) in black with December stamped and embossed in white from the Month By Month stamp (Everyday Explorers Co).

I LOVE how this turned out and I hope my little girl does too! I can’t wait for us to work on our albums together in December!!

After former Barrow keeper Deasy thwarted his old club with two distinctive first-half saves, Reeves latched onto a 61st-minute James Lawrie by way of ball to secure a hard-earned 1-0 win. ‘Barrow put us below stress in the first half and may rely themselves unlucky after hitting the submit and being denied by Tim,’ said manager Lee Sinnott, whose facet are at home to FC Halifax on Tuesday evening. ‘There were a couple of nice saves to make sure a second successive clean sheet for Tim, and I’m delighted at the way he has stepped up and made essentially the most of his opportunity. ‘That is what keepers are about. They are a bit like centre-forwards. They want the glory however, when the time comes, it is right down to them to make those saves. Tim did, and all credit to him. ‘I am pleased for Reevesie, the way in which he stuck that probability away. The system we now have been enjoying dictates one up front, and, to be honest, Michael Rankine has been doing really well in that position. But we know what Reevesie is capable of, and he demonstrated it again. Putting is all about confidence, and that could have executed him the world of excellent.’ Rankine missed the sport with a back harm and faces a fitness test for the visit of Halifax”.
