Kids December Daily Advent Calendar

I have a young daughter who loves crafts and is continually fascinated by my scrapbooks and all the stuff used for making them. Recently, she’s been asking me to help with them and if she can do one of her own. So cute!

I remembered that the wonderfully creative Krystal Iduñate had made an advent calendar to help her daughter work on her own December Daily album last year and I knew I wanted to do the same for my little girl this December.

For the base of the album, I used one of the new 4″ x 6″ minibooks from Everyday Explorers Co. The Story Start journal is a great size with heavy paper that will withstand my daughter’s heaving coloring. 🙂 Since my daughter is only 5 and just barely reading, the project needs to be kept reasonable for her. I created some pre-made pages in the album using stamps from Everyday Explorers Co, Paper Person Shop, and Studio Calico. Each day has a loose “theme” with a small mini day tag (stamped from the Mini Calendar Days stamp) and matching embellishments.

Here’s a look at a few sample pages.

Day 3 – includes a prompt to draw or write out a holiday wish list (stamps are from Holiday Prompts and the Explorers Alpha) and embellishments from my stash

Day 03

Day 7 – a prompt to write out a holiday playlist with some fun embellishments for decorating it (stamps are from Holiday Prompts and Now Playing)

Day 07

Day 10 – a page to color and decorate some Christmas trees using sequins and stickers (stamps are from Christmas Tags and Holiday Prompts)

Day 10

Day 13 – a decorated page to draw or write about some everyday activities (stamps are from Christmas Tags, Christmas Post (digital), Good Stuff Inside)

Day 13

Day 16 – a day to write about things you’re grateful for! (stamps from this month’s Practice Gratitude mini kit and So Much Gratitude)

For the actual calendar bags, I made these out of plain kraft paper. They are roughly 4″ wide by 5″ tall and I only made them because I couldn’t find similar bags at my local craft store! The front has the number stamped with the solid Alberta stamp (Paper Person Shop) in black with December stamped and embossed in white from the Month By Month stamp (Everyday Explorers Co).

I LOVE how this turned out and I hope my little girl does too! I can’t wait for us to work on our albums together in December!!

  4. There’s something special about spending time on the water, away from the stress of daily life. A boat allows you to explore new places, go fishing in the best spots, or simply relax with friends and family. Many people buy boats for weekend getaways, while others use them for full-time living. The choice depends on the type of boating experience you want. Sailboats are great for those who enjoy the challenge of wind-powered travel, while powerboats offer speed and convenience. No matter what type you choose, owning a boat means enjoying the open water on your terms.

  5. Customizing a boat allows owners to create their ideal watercraft. Adding LED lighting, high-end sound systems, and upgraded seating enhances the boating experience. Many owners install advanced GPS systems for easier navigation. Fishing boats can be customized with better rod holders and bait stations. Whether upgrading for luxury or functionality, customization makes a boat feel truly personal.

  13. Buying a used boat can be a smart financial decision, but it requires careful inspection. Checking the hull for cracks, testing the engine, and reviewing maintenance records can prevent future problems. Some used boats are in excellent condition and offer great value for money. Hiring a marine surveyor to inspect the boat can provide peace of mind. A well-maintained used boat can perform just as well as a new one at a fraction of the price.
