Kids December Daily Advent Calendar

I have a young daughter who loves crafts and is continually fascinated by my scrapbooks and all the stuff used for making them. Recently, she’s been asking me to help with them and if she can do one of her own. So cute!

I remembered that the wonderfully creative Krystal Iduñate had made an advent calendar to help her daughter work on her own December Daily album last year and I knew I wanted to do the same for my little girl this December.

For the base of the album, I used one of the new 4″ x 6″ minibooks from Everyday Explorers Co. The Story Start journal is a great size with heavy paper that will withstand my daughter’s heaving coloring. 🙂 Since my daughter is only 5 and just barely reading, the project needs to be kept reasonable for her. I created some pre-made pages in the album using stamps from Everyday Explorers Co, Paper Person Shop, and Studio Calico. Each day has a loose “theme” with a small mini day tag (stamped from the Mini Calendar Days stamp) and matching embellishments.

Here’s a look at a few sample pages.

Day 3 – includes a prompt to draw or write out a holiday wish list (stamps are from Holiday Prompts and the Explorers Alpha) and embellishments from my stash

Day 03

Day 7 – a prompt to write out a holiday playlist with some fun embellishments for decorating it (stamps are from Holiday Prompts and Now Playing)

Day 07

Day 10 – a page to color and decorate some Christmas trees using sequins and stickers (stamps are from Christmas Tags and Holiday Prompts)

Day 10

Day 13 – a decorated page to draw or write about some everyday activities (stamps are from Christmas Tags, Christmas Post (digital), Good Stuff Inside)

Day 13

Day 16 – a day to write about things you’re grateful for! (stamps from this month’s Practice Gratitude mini kit and So Much Gratitude)

For the actual calendar bags, I made these out of plain kraft paper. They are roughly 4″ wide by 5″ tall and I only made them because I couldn’t find similar bags at my local craft store! The front has the number stamped with the solid Alberta stamp (Paper Person Shop) in black with December stamped and embossed in white from the Month By Month stamp (Everyday Explorers Co).

I LOVE how this turned out and I hope my little girl does too! I can’t wait for us to work on our albums together in December!!

  3. Thanks for your article. I would like to say that your health insurance brokerage service also works best for the benefit of the coordinators of a group insurance coverage. The health insurance agent is given a list of benefits looked for by somebody or a group coordinator. Such a broker can is search for individuals or maybe coordinators which best complement those desires. Then he shows his tips and if the two of you agree, this broker formulates a legal contract between the 2 parties.

  10. Good article. It is unfortunate that over the last several years, the travel industry has had to handle terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, bird flu virus, swine flu, as well as first ever entire global recession. Through all this the industry has proven to be solid, resilient along with dynamic, getting new approaches to deal with difficulty. There are continually fresh challenges and opportunity to which the market must yet again adapt and act in response.

  42. Thanks for your blog post. What I would like to bring about is that computer memory should be purchased in case your computer is unable to cope with everything you do by using it. One can add two good old ram boards of 1GB each, as an example, but not certainly one of 1GB and one with 2GB. One should look for the maker’s documentation for own PC to make certain what type of memory is required.

  47. I’ve really noticed that credit repair activity must be conducted with tactics. If not, you might find yourself causing harm to your standing. In order to be successful in fixing your credit history you have to be careful that from this moment in time you pay your entire monthly fees promptly prior to their slated date. It’s really significant because by not really accomplishing this, all other steps that you will decide to use to improve your credit standing will not be successful. Thanks for expressing your concepts.
