I am excited to start a new Project Life album for 2018. Even though I have plenty of gaps in the previous year’s album, I’m not worried about it and I have no issue with starting with what’s current. I know I’ll get to them in time…
I really love this time of year. The hope and optimism that I am feeling carried over into this week’s spread. Over half of the pockets have to do with goals and related themes!
One of my goals this year is to start running again, so I included a photo from my first run of the year with a “Start” banner flag stapled on. I am already swimming regularly again which I love, but running brings a different kind of satisfaction to my well-being and mind.
Continuing on with the goals theme for this week, I took a photo of the week in my planner and added some motivational word strips. My planner spreads are usually pretty minimal so I like the white space and breathing room the photo brings overall.
Another goal this year is to learn French, and so I’ve signed up for a year subscription with Babbel and hope to make some progress. I took a photo of my computer after I had completed my lessons for the day and added some letters to spell out, “Do you speak French?”
The rest of the cards and photos are some of the things that happened that week: observing my daughter’s love for the zoo and stickers, the first time my daughter asked for someone other than me to put her to sleep (!!), me trying to bake my first galette des rois for Epiphany, and going to the movie theater for the first time since 2012 (a big deal!).
Thanks for looking and I hope 2018 is off to a good start for you!
