Project Life 2018: Week 34

Week 34 was a difficult week of transition and changes. My daughter started going to school and we had to adjust to a different schedule, different people, and different places. Everything was eventually fine, but that first week was TOUGH!

I used mostly digital elements from Paislee Press to create these pages. I love how all of Liz’s designs can be used interchangeably with each other and I ended up using bits and pieces from a lot of different collections.

On the left side, I paired some journaling cards from High Five Vol. 2 with the Back to School elements to create a couple of custom journal cards about my daughter’s last few days of daycare and her first day of school.

The title card was made with adding the month from the Monthly Vol. 5 collection to a label, printing it out, and adhering it to a solid 4×6″ piece of cardstock. I trimmed an edge off and added some colorful ledger paper to mimic this school themed week.

On the right side, I added digital elements from Work It Out and Winter Vibes to two of the photos. I like the contrast in color from the word art on the black and white photo. The sentiment for the other photo (stay in pajamas all day kind of day) was the perfect caption for the kids are their ridiculous choice of outfits these days. 🙂

The other two journaling cards were made using elements from Weekend Vibes and In the BooksIn the Books is a great set of elements with lots of versatile pieces.

Since this spread was heavy with rich colors already after printing, I didn’t feel the need to embellish much after putting the photos into the pocket. A piece of chipboard, a wooden star, and a badge completed the pages for me.
